Rockstar released a single tweet on X (no updates to Facebook or website) announcing that the trailer had been released due to the leak. The original video remained labelled for its schedule 9 AM ET release on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

Included in the trailer was the first official mention of a release window, with the game set for release in 2025 on PS5 and XBOX Series X|S, bringing players deep into Vice City and the State of Leonida!
