Rockstar Games announced Tuesday that Red Dead Redemption, including Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare will finally be released for PC (Rockstar Games Launcer, Steam, Epic Games Store) October 29 after a 14-year wait.
Rockstar returns to Double Eleven Studios who developed ports of RDR1 for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 (PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility) released last fall. Xbox players One and Series X|S already had access to the backward compatibility of the 360 version.
The ports again do not have multiplayer mode availability, but comes with a variety of other enhancements, as Rockstar describes,
“In collaboration with Double Eleven, this new version adds PC-specific enhancements including native 4K resolution at up to 144hz on compatible hardware, monitor support for both Ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9), HDR10 support, and full keyboard and mouse functionality.
“There’s also support for NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 upscaling technologies, NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation, adjustable draw distances, shadow quality settings, and more.”
The inclusion of Undead Nightmare comes just in time for Reformation Day Halloween.
